GKD lightning strike protection meshes are used in mobility applications as an integral part of components produced from composite material.
Composite components based on fiberglass (GRP) or carbon (CRP) must be protected from lightning strikes through use of conductive metal mesh (LSP) when used in aviation applications. Depending on the potential hazard resulting from the geometry or installation situation of these components, different wire meshes made of aluminum, copper, or bronze are available in various weights.

GKD is a qualified supplier for all wire meshes fitted by Airbus and other aircraft manufacturers. We also cater to further applications in the field of mobility, such as shipbuilding, with individually matched metal meshes.
