Doublebacker belts are used for gluing single-sided corrugated board with cover paper. The decisive cost factor here is the energy required – both in the drying or gluing process and for driving the belts. As such, good vapor permeability and low doublebacker belt weight are particularly desirable properties.

This is the case with the GKD BLUEBACKER. The process belt optimizes the gluing process and the quality of the finished corrugated board with its open weave structure and low weight combined with a long service life. GKD doublebacker mesh is comprised of a variety of materials: monofilaments on the inside provide dimensional stability. Yarns made of staple fibers ensure the necessary traction properties while also limiting noise. In addition, highly durable aramid reinforces the edges, and woven-in bronze wires prevent electrostatic charges.
