Linear screen belts for fruit and vegetable processing

Many foods such as vegetables, fruits, mushrooms, or lettuce must be washed and freed from foreign matter for hygienic reasons before processing. Process water used in food production – for example, during fish cleaning – is also filtered to remove coarse particles and reduce organic content before clarification.
GKD offers linear screen meshes – also known as mesh fabrics – specifically developed for the food industry. These are made from food-grade polyester monofilaments (PET).
During processing, cleaning can be performed directly on the belt using spray nozzles, or excess water can drain off freely during transport, for example after a flotation process (bubble bath).

The mesh fabrics of the Linear Screen series used for washing systems are characterized by high water permeability, enabled by their open structure and varying mesh sizes depending on the type.

Thanks to their simple construction, the fabrics are easy to clean during or after production.
Selected raw materials, combined with powerful weaving technology and a specially adapted heat-setting process, ensure high dimensional stability of the fabric – and thus of the belts made from it.
