Porometric filtration mesh

The new wire mesh made by GKD

Porometric is our new wire mesh weave developed using our proven GeoDict simulation software. Initial results show that it offers outstanding solutions for a broad range of filtration tasks.

At a constant volume flow, the higher porosity of the Porometric filtration mesh resulting from its design reduces the highest, local pore velocity by up to 40% compared to conventional filtration meshes. The lower maximum pore velocity results in lower wear of the filter material through particles. At the same time, however, the flow rate increases considerably when using this new mesh type.

Particles at the required separating limit are separated quickly and reliably.
In addition, the slit-like pores make backwashing easy.

The dirt holding capacity is also many times higher than in comparable filtration meshes thanks to the special pore arrangement.

With this range of functions, the three-dimensional Porometric filtration mesh
outperforms all other meshes in this field.

With a geometric pore opening of 150 µm and 175 µm, Porometric is already undergoing practical tests and is confirming the values calculated in the simulation.

We are currently working on a Porometric family with pore sizes between 20 µm and 750 µm.
