Heat conductive materials
Thermally efficient and recyclable
The design of modern battery systems with lithium ion cells presents complex challenges in terms of thermal management. The service life and performance of both the cells and the entire battery module are heavily influenced by the ambient temperature. Precise temperature control and efficient heat dissipation are therefore critical for ensuring optimum performance efficiency.
Heat is generated in the battery system during use when accelerating, recuperating, and also charging. Thermal interface materials (TIMs) are typically used for heat transfer from the cells to a cooled base plate. When used as TIMs, heat transfer mats from GKD guarantee an optimal thermal connection between the cells and other components, as well as ensuring even heat distribution by equalizing tolerances.
