Glass nonwoven production begins with the precise forming and impregnation of fibers – a process that significantly influences the quality of the final product. In this step, glass fibers are placed on one process belt and impregnated with a binder on another belt, enabling subsequent bonding. The belts used must optimally support both the fiber specifications and the requirements for binder distribution and dewatering.

Solution

Specially developed polyester process belts with customized mesh constructions are used. The belt type is selected individually based on fiber specifications and system requirements. The belts are available with woven seams for cantilever installation.
