Cooking, Steaming, and Blanching – Mesh Belts for Thermal Applications

GKD customers prefer to use our lightweight pin mesh belts for these processes. This mesh type combines dense, smooth fabrics with self-tracking pin mesh belts.

Thanks to the self-tracking properties of the lightweight pin mesh, belt guidance can be simplified without the need for hard-to-clean drive components like chains or gears. The belt is driven directly via a drive roller, which contacts the belt over 180° of its circumference. The belt moves solely through friction between the roller and the belt. Various mesh sizes allow flexible adaptation to different product dimensions. In systems with active belt guidance via a steering roller, smooth half-twilled mesh belts are primarily used, although full-twilled meshes are also possible.

After cooking, GKD plastic meshes can be used as cooling belts to quench the hot product with water and prepare it for further processing steps.
