Double-Belt Ovens – Thermobonding

In nonwoven bonding, double-belt ovens are used to thermally bond voluminous or highly compressed nonwovens. Typical applications include high-loft nonwovens for furniture and mattresses, as well as acoustic nonwovens for the automotive industry. The process belts used must meet the highest requirements for cross stability, temperature resistance, and non-stick performance.

Solution

Custom-designed mesh belts made of stainless steel, steel, bronze, or hybrid materials (e.g., glass-metal combinations) are used. The belts feature mark-free hook seams and durable edge coatings. For particularly adhesive materials, GKD offers fully coated glass hybrid belts with PFA coating, which reliably prevent fiber adhesion.
