Linear Screens
GKD developed the first linear screen filter fabrics which enabled screening efficiencies in excess of 95 % in certain applications. Since its inception, the linear screen has proven itself as an unmatched solution for woodchip, trash, residue screening and fine screening applications.

Spares
GKD manufactures, supplies and installs a wide range of spares for Linear Screens for both GKD supplied equipment & other OEM’s.
From our extensive range of Linear Screen Cloths, GKD Africa is able to supply Linear Screen Cloths with apertures ranging from 400 micron – 2000 micron. Other non-standard apertures available on special request.
Composition
Polyester yarn is typically used for the manufacture of Linear Screen Cloths, due to the tensile strength and abrasion resistance of this yarn type. Other materials of construction are available depending on the particular application.
Edges
GKD Linear Screen Cloths are supplied with heatcut and sealed edges. This process secures the edges and prevents them from fraying and unravelling, thereby ensuring extra Belt durability. For problem processes, edges can be coated with synthetic resin for additional protection.
Clipper Seam
Linear Screen Cloths are joined by means of a Stainless Steel Clipper Seam and Locking Wire for easy and rapid installation.
GKD Repair Service
Should a Screen Cloth be damaged despite its stable quality, GKD offers a unique cost-effective repair service. Upon receiving a damaged cloth, our factory experts will examine the damage and prepare a detailed report. When repair is possible, a detailed estimate will be presented for consideration by the end user.
