20. January 2023Stainless steel mesh for façade of Piper High School
Omega 1510 architectural mesh with a mural created using an abrasion process was deployed for the façade design of a high school in Kansas City.
With a size of only approx. 50 m², the solar protection façade made of Omega 1510 stainless steel mesh impresses with its large graphic. This was applied to the mesh using an abrasion technique and portrays the school mascot, a pirate’s head.
The façade designed by architects DLR Group offers effective sun protection and also contributes to the building’s LEED Platinum status thanks to its solar properties.
