20. January 2023Curved metal mesh ceiling at Emilio Balthus
A curved ceiling made of Lamelle metal mesh adorns the Emilio Balthus restaurant in Santiago de Chile.
The Rodríguez & Rufin Arquitectos architectural firm designed the interior of the restaurant in the Chilean capital. The central element of the interior design is the Lamelle metal mesh. This architectural mesh, which acts as an island ceiling, spans the guest area in one sweeping piece. Another panel creates a semi-transparent partition to the neighboring bar area. The metal mesh panels were affixed using slide-in round bars and eyebolts.
