LED stainless steel mesh adorns the landmarked façade.
The first LED stainless steel mesh installation on the roof of the Mellon Independence Center in Philadelphia reaches a wide audience and brings digital life to the city center. To meet the strict stipulations of the city and the monument conservation authorities, as well as the expectations of the investors, the historically static transparency was replaced by a transparent media façade from GKD. The approximately 480 m² MEDIAMESH® screen comprises 37 panels with a vertical LED pitch of 4 cm and horizontal pitch of 4.25 cm. Seven panels of GKD Tigris mesh flank the display. Alongside particularly low power consumption, the material is also 100% recyclable after many decades of use.
