UHEPA (Ultra-High Efficiency Particulate Air) and ULPA (Ultra Low Penetration Air) refer to filter classes developed for the highest requirements in particle retention for airborne contaminants. Compared to HEPA filters, which retain particles up to a certain limit, UHEPA and ULPA filters have much finer structures and can almost completely remove particles with submicron diameters. Typical applications include semiconductor manufacturing, pharmaceutical cleanroom technology, biotechnology, and aerospace. The filters consist of microfine fibers forming a dense nonwoven structure. They are often pleated to increase the filter area and minimize pressure drop. GKD supplies ultra-fine metal and plastic meshes used in prefilters and support structures for UHEPA/ULPA systems. Our fabrics provide mechanical stability for these highly efficient filter elements and support a uniform laminar airflow. During production, we adhere to strict cleanroom standards and deliver materials with high chemical purity to avoid contamination.
