Gauge pressure refers to the pressure measured by a manometer relative to the ambient (atmospheric) pressure. It indicates how much higher or lower the system pressure is compared to the atmosphere. In filtration systems, gauge pressure is used to monitor the differential pressure across the filter medium. A rising gauge pressure indicates increasing contamination, while a sudden drop may signal a breakthrough or system failure.
GKD supports customers in integrating pressure measurement and monitoring systems to ensure process safety and energy efficiency.
