Decitex (dtex) is a unit used to measure the linear mass density of fibers and yarns. It defines the weight in grams per 10,000 meters of fiber. For example, a thread with 100 dtex weighs 1 gram per 100 meters.
Decitex is ten times the value of the tex unit (1 tex = 1 g per 1,000 m) and is commonly used for synthetic fibers. The dtex value allows for easy comparison of fiber fineness.
GKD uses dtex specifications to define the properties of synthetic fibers in its mesh fabrics, helping customers better understand and select suitable materials.
