Burst pressure refers to the pressure at which a filter medium begins to allow particles or liquid to pass through uncontrollably. It depends on factors such as maximum pore size, material strength, and the structure of the filter cake. If the operating pressure exceeds the burst pressure, it can lead to sudden filter failure.
Regular monitoring and proper sizing of the filter medium are therefore essential. GKD designs its mesh fabrics with sufficient safety margins and recommends appropriate pressure monitoring systems to ensure reliable operation.
