The steel sculpture Indemann erected in autumn 2009 on a regional lignite slagheap as a symbol of structural change impressed the American Society for Environmental Graphic Design (SEGD) in such a way that it awarded GKD its Merit Award in 2010. Stainless steel mesh of the type ILLUMESH® clads the 36-meter-high accessible viewing platform that reminds visitors of an early robot.
