In 2011 the Holmenkollen Ski Jump in Oslo was awarded with the IOC/IAKS Award in the category “Gold” by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and the International Association for Sports and Leisure Facilities (IAKS). The Holmenkollen Fyr (English: lighthouse) as host of the Nordic World Ski Championships has established itself as prestigious sports facility. Our stainless steel meshes of the type Sambesi light and PC-Sambesi clad the gigantic steel structure which was planned by the Danish JDS architects. The robust high-tech mesh functions as wind filter protecting the athletes from extreme wind loads and temperature variations.
