The team

The PQS (Processes, Quality, Sustainability) team ensures that things run smoothly. The performance of our own processes as well as external ones is the foundation of our actions. In process optimization, we analyze existing processes, oriented to our own goals and strategy, identify weak points, and thus secure our supply chain. The qualitative analysis of existing operations processes and initiating improvement measures in cooperation with experts as well as ensuring successful implementation and sustainable evaluation are essential. With the help of data analysis, we identify potential for improvement and ask questions that perhaps no one has asked before.

Your tasks

• Developing and implementing a comprehensive sustainability strategy for the GKD Group in coordination with the Executive Board, with a focus on energy, climate, and environmental protection within the company and along the supply chain
• Managing annual energy planning, controlling target achievement during the year, and monitoring and carrying out deviation analyses
• Establishing the system of key performance indicators required for strategic and operational management in collaboration with Controlling
• Establishing and regularly carrying out internal and external sustainability reporting and rankings
• Steering and advising the sites and individual departments on the identification, evaluation, and implementation of energy efficiency measures and the identification of carbon reduction potential together with the Energy Management System Officer
• Establishing a global environmental management system (e.g. in accordance with ISO 14001) at our international sites
• Ensuring compliance with statutory reporting obligations in energy and environmental legislation
• Managing and facilitating sustainability projects with a focus on energy efficiency in the GKD Group
• Cooperating with universities and supervising university projects/theses
• Helping to shape and contribute to the achievement of sustainable energy and CO2 targets in coordination with PQS management
• Anchoring an awareness of energy, climate, and environmental protection throughout the company through appropriate training measures and initiatives
• Establishing and maintaining a network of stakeholders for sustainability, including reporting to PQS management and the Executive Board
• Contact person for sponsored projects of the company

Your profile

• You have a successfully completed degree in sustainable management/environmental management/engineering with a focus on supply engineering, energy management, environmental engineering, energy technology, renewable energies, or a comparable qualification
• You have already gained practical experience in industrial companies taking into account the focus mentioned above
• You have advanced knowledge in the field of energy management, environmental management
• You have advanced knowledge in the implementation of IT systems with a focus on sustainability aspects
• You are characterized by a strong team orientation as well as conceptual and implementation skills, a hands-on mentality, an integrated way of thinking, and good communication skills
• Excellent MS Office skills (PowerPoint, Excel)
• Business-fluent English skills complete your profile
