A metal mesh façade for effective solar protection adorns the architecture of the Yamuna Sports Stadium in New Delhi, India.
The visually seamless steel façade made from GKD Tigris stainless steel mesh offers effective and exceptional solar protection in an area that regularly sees temperatures of 40°C.
The stainless steel façade was designed by Peddle Thorpe Architects on the occasion of the 2010 Commonwealth Games. The table tennis and archery competitions – both very popular sports in India – were held at the stadium with its solar protection façade cladding made of GKD mesh.
