GKD metal mesh is used for solar protection and cladding of a glass stairwell in the Gold Museum in Budapest.
The renovation of the museum by the architects from Atonic Design Kft also comprises a new glass stairwell, which is cladded with around 230 m² of the Omega 1520 mesh. The weft wires of this metal fabric were coated in bronze color and the panels fixed in place using the Fusiomesh NG system.
The mesh shell also ensures a pleasant climate inside the museum itself thanks to its solar protection function.
