Filtration or solid/liquid separation is an essential process step in virtually all forms of mining and extraction that is also key for efficiency.  Depending on the process, this takes place during treatment or dewatering of the tailings. GKD offers filter media and belts for much of the equipment used here. These are selected or adapted individually in the mine based on the respective situation. The primary focus here is on optimizing the performance of the machines and the service life of the filter medium.

In the field of sand control screens, GKD has developed standards in particular for crude oil and natural gas production, and remains focused on developing pioneering mesh and post-treatment technologies – with the objective of permanently extending the maximum load limits and the service life of these screens. We also offer durable and robust screen media for a wide range of equipment used in the classification of small grain sizes.
